How a girl became a top model

Not all girls on ads are top models.

With a lot of make-up and a good photoshop artist, a normal girl becomes a top model.

Digital Filmmaking’s New Era?

The New York Times has an interesting video about a new CGI technic used at Hollywood.

A software is able to map any human facial expression to any 3D model. They are just filming somebody, are recognizing lips, eyes and map them to a 3D model. This is really impressive!

Google Code Search goes live

Google Code Search Google Code Search goes live.

It will be a tool widely used by developers. People have already found funny things on it, like the algorithm of the Winzip serial.

Bad year for Photokina

PhotokinaPhotokina was not exciting this year.

A lot of people were waiting for big news from Nikon or Canon on their pro cameras. ”Will we see the Nikon D3H or D3X, or perhaps a new Canon 1Ds ?

But nothing happened.

We just saw a new DSLR from Sigma, the SD14. Leica had also the M8 at the exibition. But frankly, who will buy a Sigma DSLR, a part some Indiana Jones of photography ? Regarding the Leica, I can understand the photographers that are interested in it, but I am not part of the.

All the fuss was about medium format cameras, especially the Hasselblad H3D. They have closed the specification for their digital back. So if you buy an Hasselblad, you will have to buy an Hasselblad back. So, all the fuss about digital back compatiblity!

We are far away from big news!

I hope that Canon and Nikon will release new products before the next big camera show.
