Canon HV10: HD Camcorder August 15
Canon has released the HV10 camcorder. And it is a HD camcorder!
Compared to the Sony HC3, it looks great.
There is an article in the New-York Times (you will have to do a free subscription) comparing both.
Here is quote from the article: “Now, you could argue that it’s too soon to be buying any high-def camcorder. How, for example, will you show off your finished high-definition masterpieces? High-def DVD recorders are still on the drawing boards, and high-def VCR’s are an expensive oddity. At the moment, the only way to play back your high-def work is to connect the camcorder to your TV.“
So there are always some problems with these toys:
- You do not have a HD video projector (or TV)
- You do not have a HD-DVD or Blue-Ray burner (as nobody has yet)
- You do not have a software to work on your HD videos
And there is always another drawback… even if you have all these new toys, you will never watch your vacations movies because they are boring, or even worst.
So, will I buy one in the future?
Certainly, because I love toys and it is not rational
